Our meals are crafted with intention to nourish body and soul, featuring primarily organic, locally-sourced ingredients prepared by our personal chef. We honor all special dietary needs and maintain a gluten-free kitchen with no processed or seed oils. Each dish integrates authentic local Caribbean flavors and traditional Colombian preparations, creating a farm-to-table experience that connects you to the region’s culinary heritage while supporting our commitment to wellness and sustainability.
Brisa Bahía enjoys excellent tropical weather year-round, with warm ocean breezes, clean mountain air, and stunning sunsets. Because of our secluded location in Bahía El Aguacate, retreats can be hosted any month of the year. This consistency makes our eco resort a safe and reliable choice for exclusive retreats in every season.
Sustainability is woven into every aspect of Brisa Bahía. We operate on 100% solar power and collect water from the mountaintop through a natural mineral-rich stream, providing filtered mountain spring water throughout the property. We maintain local composting and recycling systems while prioritizing upcycling whenever possible. Single-use plastics, drinks, and snacks have no place here.

Our bungalows are built primarily using local, natural, and sustainable materials in harmony with the surrounding environment. Our spaces feature furniture and décor handcrafted in-house from local materials. Everything from the bamboo sheets and Turkish cotton towels to linen curtains and jute rugs creates a healthy, toxin-free environment. Even our lighting is intentionally soft amber to reduce eye strain and support your circadian rhythms.

Our kitchen extends this philosophy with gluten-free, locally-sourced organic ingredients prepared without processed or seed oils. Many fruits, vegetables, and herbs are organically grown right on our property. As part of our eco-tourism commitment, every stay supports the protection of Bahía El Aguacate’s rainforest and Caribbean coastline.

Capurganá enjoys excellent tropical weather throughout the year, with warm temperatures and refreshing ocean breezes. Short tropical showers may occur, but they’re usually brief and invigorating — part of the natural rhythm of life in our exclusive eco resort setting. This climate makes Brisa Bahía a safe and reliable destination for sustainable retreats and eco-tourism in every season.
Most travelers (U.S., Canada, UK, EU, Australia, much of Latin America) can visit visa-free for up to 90 days. You’ll need:
  • A passport valid for at least 3–6 months
  • Proof of onward travel (return or exit ticket)

You can submit it 72 hours before your trip or up to one hour before boarding.

We recommend checking with your local Colombian consulate for the most up-to-date entry requirements.

 Pack light and practical for tropical eco-tourism in Colombia. Bring comfortable clothing, swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, flashlight or headlamp, water shoes, and any personal items you need. Packing consciously supports sustainability while keeping your retreat experience simple and stress-free.
We specialize in intimate retreats of 6–12 guests, with a minimum of 6 participants required to host. By limiting group size, Brisa Bahía ensures exclusivity, safety, and personalized attention while creating space for meaningful eco-tourism experiences.

Accounting for couples and friends sharing accommodations, we can hold up to 24 guests (based on 2 people per bed) plus we have 4 additional single beds and separate facilitator accommodations. However, we find that smaller groups create the most transformational experiences.

Absolutely! Our location is in one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Guests regularly see tropical birds, monkeys, sloths, and during certain seasons, sea turtles nest on our beaches.
Guests can enjoy jungle hikes, natural pools, secluded beaches, snorkeling, scuba diving, free diving, fruit foraging, fishing, and guided excursions to waterfalls or even across the border to La Miel, Panama. We can also arrange coconut craft workshops, cooking classes, and beach bonfires.

Reaching our secluded Caribbean retreat is simple, safe, and beautifully scenic. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you detailed logistics—but here’s a quick overview to plan your journey.

Step 1: Fly to Medellín

Fly into José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Medellín. We can arrange a pickup to a wellness-friendly hotel in the El Poblado district.

Step 2: National Flight

The next day, we’ll help arrange a short 1-hour flight from Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH) to either Capurganá or Acandí.

Final Step: Travel by Sea

Fly into Capurgana or Acandi Airports from Medellin, travel by short boat ride to Brisa Bahía.

Location: Aguacate, which is close to Capurganá, Colombia.

Brisa Bahia is a 5–10 minute boat shuttle or a 45 minute hike from Capurganá. (Hiking with heavy luggage not advised)

Packing Tips: Pack lightly; boat transfers have weight restrictions.

Any excess weight will cost a charge for each kilogram.

Cash: Prepare in advance and take cash on your trip: there are no ATMs within the area.

For emergencies, there is a Western Union office located within Capurganá where you pay a commission.

*Note: The international airport Jose Marie (MDE) is outside of city. The national

airport (EOH) is only 10 minutes from the El Poblado area of Medellin.
